PROGRAM ACTIVITIES Following Activities will be implemented as per the specific needs of the area ensuring the people’s participation. • Social Development - Awareness generation programs • Environmental Protection and promotional Activities - • Basic need programs • Formation of homogenous self help groups • Income generating schemes for better lively hood of the landless poor • Programs in collaboration with NGOs and Charitable Foundations. • Promoting the concept of public private people participation – (P4 concept) engaging Industry Community organizations, state Government, academic institutions and international development agencies. 1) Social Development- Awareness generation programs by: Conducting Training programs in the villages on the themes of 1. Health and nutrition 2. Education 3. Leadership promotion skills. 4. Disadvantaged groups problems 5. Environmental awareness 6. HIV/AIDS 7. Child labor and bonded laborers 8. Agriculture and marketing 9. leagal awareness programs on land rights, minimum wages, atrocities on the weaker section communities, child labor and bonded labor acts. 10. Human rights awareness programs. 11. Consumer awareness programs 12. Information on Development agencies and infrastructure availability. 2) Environmental Protection and promotional Activities: Plantation program in the villages, in the school, village common utility areas and education on environmental protection and promotion and provision of non conventional energy facilities. 3) Skill training programs: For the women and the physically challenged on the trades of basket making, tailoring, mat making, embroidery making ,lace making, carpet making, leaf plate making, pickle making, candle making and other relevant skills to earn the additional income to the family 4) Basic need programs: Provision of drinking water to the acute water shortage villages and in drought affected area where women and children travel long distance to fetch the water and also provision of community hall or bus shelter or health centre. Formation of homogenous self help groups 5) Income generation schemes: Providing economic assistance for the existing enterprises and village trade for the women under microfinance program with the bank and financial institutional linkages to promote the concept of SELF HELP - MUTUAL HELP and to inculcate the habit of SAVINGS among the poor women. Income generating schemes for better lively hood of the landless poor providing the potential income generating programs suitable to them. 6) Collaboration with NGOs and Charitable Institutions: To establish organized communities and achieve self-reliant and sustainable development. Programs in collaboration with NGOs and Charitable Foundations. In collaboration with the NGOs and Foundations in the metropolitan urban region INDIS Foundation involves in the programs of Green campaign (urban plantation), Health care, Education, Orphan and street children rehabilitation, slum development programs, physically and mentally challenged welfare programs etc as per the need. 7) Promoting the concept of Public and Private Partnership: Promoting the concept of public private people participation – (P4 concept) engaging Industry Community organizations, state Government, academic institutions, a) PHASE-I Therefore at the INDIS Foundation we started by adopting a few villages around property development areas within a 5-10km radius and focus on the concept of “community contributions for the community welfare”. The INDIS Foundation promotes the concept of extending its contribution to undertake the most needed community development activities .This ensures effective peoples participation in the development process. (This may be the Entry phase) b) PHASE II With the first phase experience and after the survey and study of the other the INDIS Foundation undertakes activities of the company and comes up with a comprehensive plan of action in the form of a perspective plan with an objective oriented approach for the future developments with an yearly detailed sect oral plan of actions to achieve the bigger objectives.(This will be the Expansion phase) c) PHASE III This is a consolidation phase in which the CSR will play a bigger role in the areas of policy, lobby and advocacy activities at state and national level and network with the like minded national and international agencies while continuing its basic activities.
